Playing for the chance to move on today in the County Tournament, the Seminoles needed to win or they were out.
The score was 0-0 against the Viera Yankees going into the 3rd inning. With the bases loaded the Seminoles scored Nicholas Hamor when Eric Wright was hit by a pitch. Danny Dolnik then scored on a wild pitch, to leave Cristian Seguna and Eric Wright on 2nd and 3rd. Ryan Lewis then hit a shot to the outfield scoring Seguna and Wright to put the Seminoles up 4-0.
The Seminoles scored again in the top of the 6th on a double by Lance Comer. Going into the bottom of the 6th with the score now 5-3 the Yankee's were threatening with 1 out and a runner on 1st.
The Seminoles were looking for a chance to turn a double and put the game away, and that's exactly what they got when the batter hit a hard ground ball to Wright who fielded it at short stop. Hamor then took the throw at 2nd for the force and fired it to Lewis at first for the double. The Seminoles had won the game and advanced to the playoffs!
